Meet Todd Worrich, a skilled and dedicated attorney with over 20 years legal experience. He has a deep understanding of the necessities of estate planning and is passionate about helping clients and loved ones have Peace of Mind. Todd and his wife Audra are the parents of four children and when their oldest child went to college they realized an important need for their family as their oldest child was now an adult under the eyes of the law. What would happen if their child, who is now an adult, needed help with financial or medical decisions? Todd realized there was a huge need for families with young adults to have documents prepared as their children turned into young adults.

While the reason Peace of Mind Legal was created was for helping new adults, these critical documents are needed by anyone who wants the Peace of Mind that they will have their financial and medical decisions taken care of.

In his free time, Todd enjoys spending time with his family (wife and four children) and spending time enjoying outdoor activities. What is our general process?

We have an easy, 4-step process designed to have your Peace of Mind documents created and signed in a timely and cost efficient manner:

* The first step is to fill out a secure online questionnaire which will provide us all the information we need to prepare your Peace of Mind documents.

* Next- we will prepare your Peace of Mind documents, working off the information you provided.

Once everything is prepared, we will send you your documents with directions on how to legally execute your Peace of Mind documents. The signing of the documents can either be done with an online notary (recommended) or you can go to a traditional in-person notary.

Finalization - is where you’ll sign your Peace of Mind documents with the proper legal formalities, in front of a notary.

*That’s It!

What kind of information do you need from me?

* Who you want making medical and financial decisions for you in the event of your incapacity

.Don’t worry if you don’t have the answers to these questions right away! Whenever you are ready we will be ready to prepare your Peace of Mind documents.

What do these documents cost?

Peace of Mind Legal provides your Financial Power of Attorney, Medical Power of Attorney and HIPAA Release for a flat rate of $195. If you need your documents within 24 hours you will have an option to expedite your order.

Your only other cost will be the notary fees, which shouldn’t be more than about $25. The notary fees could be waived at your local bank.

How long does the process take?

Our process is designed to have your Peace of Mind documents prepared and signed within 72 hours of when you provide all the information we need in our secure online form.

Can I sign my documents online?

Yes! That is our preferred way of having you sign your Peace of Mind documents. An online notary can handle that process and it doesn’t take must longer than 10 minutes to get everything signed once we send you the completed Peace of Mind documents.

What other documents are needed for my Estate Plan?

Peace of Mind legal only prepares your Financial Power of Attorney, Medical Power of Attorney and HIPAA Release. A thorough Estate Plan would typically include other documents such as a Will, Trust, Living Will and possibly other documents based upon your particular situation. The full estate plan takes more planning and we are happy to work with you on your full Estate Plan as well after the initial Peace of Mind documents are prepared.

My child just turned 18, do they need these documents?

Yes! Once your child turns 18 they also need these documents which will give you and your family Peace of Mind. In the event your son or daughter needs help with their financial or medical affairs, with Peace of Mind documents you will have the authority to help them with those decisions.

What is a power of attorney?

A power of attorney lets you appoint someone to manage your property in the event of your incapacity. You will name someone you trust implicitly as your “agent”. They will step into your shoes and pay your bills, file your taxes, manage your business, etc. if you cannot.

What is a medical power of attorney and medical directive?

A medical power of attorney allows you to appoint someone you trust to manage your medical decisions should you be unable to do so.

What if I need to update my documents?

Your documents can (and probably will be) updated as your life and family situation changes. We recommend a review of your documents on an annual basis.

Can’t I just do my documents on Legal Zoom?

You can. Keep in mind that Legal Zoom and law firms are two different things. They provide two different services. This is why the cost is different. Legal Zoom offers form documents you fill out and execute yourself. They are not a law firm and do not give legal advice. An attorney, on the other hand, counsels you and gives you legal advice based on your specific circumstances. They will customize your documents, ensure they are signed with the proper formalities, and pick up the phone when you call with questions. If these things are important to you, you should work with an attorney. If they are not, Legal Zoom may be a better option.

Do you work with families in all 50 states?

Estate planning is an area of law that is state-specific. That means you should work with an attorney licensed in the state in which you reside. Our attorneys are licensed in Texas. If you live in Texas or are a Texas resident, we can prepare your estate planning documents. If you do not, message us, and we will be happy to refer you to an attorney licensed in your state.
